Skate 3
Release date: May 13, 2010
In recent years, EA’s Skate series of video games has stolen much of Tony Hawk’s thunder when it comes to skating video games.

Hawk’s somewhat dubious deck controller from Ride didn’t do him any favours and he hasn’t been able to get his groove back in the skating arena.

Rather than jumping on the Hawk bandwagon with expensive high-tech skateboard controllers, Skate 3 has stuck to its guns, delivering another wicked skate experience using standard controls (dual analogue sticks).

This time around it’s all about “teaming up and throwing down” with an emphasis on online co-op play. Skate 3 gets players to put together a crew, and then take on rival gangs for skate supremacy on Port Caverton’s streets.

Wannabe skaters are sure to lap this up.
