Looking to fit in somewhere between the FIFA and Pro Evo juggernauts is Ubisoft’s new IP, Pure Football. Launching at an opportune time (the World Cup et al), Pure Football is a very different kettle of fish.
Forget the sim approach of the big two and think more along the lines of the arcade styled Virtua Striker. There are 230 professionals featured in Pure Football and the game features 17 international teams, each with its own legendary player.
Pure Football follows the action from a camera situated behind the player’s shoulder, bringing a unique on-the-field intense physicality and skill to the game.
