Fancy a bit of Italian? Well, how about Ezio, Altair and, erm, Desmond all in one grand finale Renaissance adventure? We’d buy that for a Euro!

This latest in the breathtakingly gorgeous saga that crosses history with The Da Vinci Code sees our swarthy trio landing their various ways in 1511 Constantinople (not Istanbul), during the rise of the Ottoman Empire.

Underground, overground, they’ll be assassinating free; sped up by the addition of a handy hook allowing zip-line shooming between rooftops, and armed with more bombs than a carpark full of Daewoos.

The duo’s aim is to obtain an artefact thought to be able to quell the whole Templar/Assassin hurly-burly for good, whilst Desmond’s trying to get his sh*t together and regain consciousness.

As a huge fan of the Assassin's Creed games, I have to say I was a little disappointed by Revelations.

Brotherhood has (by far) been the greatest AC edition, and I was expecting Revelations to top it. And for me, it didn't.

While Brotherhood was a welcome improvement to the fantastic AC2, Revelations seems to plateau the series. There is almost too much to do in Revelations, all of it introduced with an odd mix of arduous tutorials and assumed knowledge. It also suffers pacing problems, an almost complete lack of any 'present day' sections leading the player to grow weary of the Ottoman-controlled Constantinople.

I would rate this game a 9/10 because it has the most breathe taking moments in it, whilst trying to perform an action without making any mistakes. It has it's exhilarating moments when you have to do a particular move and it ends up being your best ever attack or defence move you have ever done, this game is for those gamers out there who like action, thrill seeking and strategy type games. You must have the ability to know what you are doing in this type of game so you don't make any mistakes whilst trying to perform that particular movement.

I'm a big fan of this franchise, but after playing AC:R I need a different setting - I'm done with the Italians!!! It looks great, plays well but I just felt like I was treading over the same old ground with a few new innovations. I could handle Brotherhood, but Revelations was a bridge too far.
