We really think somebody at Square Enix needs to look up the meaning of the word ‘final’. Still, English comprehension’s loss is gamers’ gain, as the ever-popular RPG series rolls ever onwards.
As the title intimates, this is a direct follow-on from the last instalment, at least thematically, as we jump three years into the future. Lightning has vanished, so her little sis Serah teams up with a young bloke named Noel to try to find her.
One thing that has changed from the first FFXIII is a raft of tweaks to improve the battle system, along with controlling tamed monsters to do your bidding. Hey, why get your pretty anime hands dirty?
New characters, new battles, new places to go – actually, we hope SquEnix don’t grab the dictionary!
