A buddy road-trip film with seniors, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman play a pair of terminally ill patients who decide to make the most of the time they have left, which according to their doctors is about a year.
Having made a wishlist of things to do before they die, they check themselves out of hospital and set about fulfilling their wildest dreams. Money is no object for squillionaire Nicholson, and the pair’s extravagant adventures – via private jet – encompass everything from skydiving, an African safari and a world tour to the simpler pleasures in life, like tattoos and skydiving.
Director Rob Reiner (When Harry Met Sally) ups the feel-good factor for this star-powered comedy about the value of life and friendship.
