Twin brothers Jared and Simon Grace (Freddie Highmore, playing both roles) and their older sister Mallory (Sarah Bolger) move into the gothic rural mansion of their great uncle Arthur Spiderwick, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances decades before.
Spooked by a series of strange disappearances and accidents within the house and adjacent grounds, the siblings discover that the answers lie in a mysterious book penned by Spiderwick which reveals the existence of a hidden world populated by magical creatures.
A dark and entertaining fantasy adventure that could prove too scary for the very young.
